weddings in Grenada are recognized in all European countries, the United States and Canada. The ministry for foreign affairs issues a document as proof for the authorities in the home country. Before they can get married on the island the couple must stay in Grenada for three days. Required documents: birth certificates; proof of single status (affidavit or official letter); if divorced, proof of Decree Absolute; if applicable proof of name change; if under 21 evidence of parental consent. If the documents are in any foreign language, official translation in English is required.
