A private trip, where you experience the full diversity of Guyana: The Ranches of the savanna, wildlife reserves, the Indian country, the virgin jungles and mighty rivers. You fly to the south and their Karanambu safari takes you over land and by boat back to the Atlantic coast. On their way to spend two nights in the lodges and interesting experience for selected activities, the natural wonders of Guyana.

Arrangement includes:

2 nights Arrowpoint-Lodge;
2 nights Karanambu-Lodge;
2 nights Rock-View-Lodge;
2 nights Iwokrama-Lodge;

Itinerary

1st day: transfer from the International Airport to Demerara River; boat trip along winding rainforest rivers to Arrowpoint Lodge; night tour on jungle trails with Indian guide for game viewing.

2nd day: in the morning, jungle expedition on foot and in canoes; activities during the day of your choice - afternoon: watch bread-making from poisonous cassava roots according to Amerindian tradition, in the evening: log fire on the beach.

3rd day: Visit to the Arawak Indian village of Santa Mission, then return by boat to Georgetown, transfer to domestic airport. Flight to the south over the jungle and savanna to the Karanambu Lodge, the realm of the giant otter and giant anteater. In the afternoon boat safari to the giant otter.

4th day: Morning: boat safari to the honey ponds with huge Amazon water lilies; evening: boat expedition to a tributary stream featuring monkeys and many water birds.

5th day: Boat trip on the Rupununi River, then a short overland drive to Rock View Lodge, night stop.

6th day: Guided excursion to the nearby Indian village, where you can watch

the processing of cashew-nuts, alternatively or in addition,: small hike on your own on a nature trail through the prairie.

7th day: Ride through the jungle to visit the Indian village Macusi Surama. Then proceed to Iwokrama, the reserve of the Jaguars; Cayman Safari on the River.

8th day: Iwokrama, morning boat trip to Stanley Lake, where giant otters, giant turtles and cayman exist; afternoon drive through the Jaguars territory - no promises, but many were lucky enough to see one. Then exploring the top of giant trees going over slope bridges.

9th day: If time permitts - boat trip to the Indian village of Fair View with 5000 year old stone engravings. return flight to Georgetown, spend night at the Residence Inn.

10th day: Exploring the capital on your own or an opportunity for a flight and visite to the Kaieteur Falls (registration if required at booking, final confirmation however will be locally, as the flight is conducted only in good weather. Payment on site, price approx. USD 230).

11th day: Transfer to airport and return flight to Barbados or Antigua.
