Details of journey

1st day: transfer from the International Airport to Demerara River; boat trip along winding rain forest rivers to Arrowpoint Lodge in the very heart of the jungle.

2nd day: In the morning, jungle expedition on foot and in canoes; activities during the day of your choice - all guided - afternoon: watch bread-making from poisonous cassava roots according to Amerindian tradition, in the evening: log fire on the beach.

3rd day: Arrowpoint; morning: boat trip along the river or by bicycle along shady rain forest trails to the Arawak village of Santa Mission; afternoon: canoe tour.

4th day: Optional to be booked locally: boat and land transfer to the airport, flight to the 230 meters dropping down Kaieteur Falls  with a guided tour*); night stop in Georgetown at the Residence Inn.

5th day: flight to Karanambu Lodge, the Giant otter territory, boat safari along Rupununi river, Giant otter and caiman spotting.

6th day: Morning: boat safari to the honey ponds and huge Amazon water lilies; evening: boat expedition to a tributary stream featuring monkeys and many water birds.

7th day: Return flight to Georgetown, night stop at the Residence Inn.

8th day: Transfer to airport, departure.
