This
lodge is the home of Diane McTurks, who
enjoys international fame as a protector
of giant otters. Several packs of these
rare animals live in the close-by
stretch of Rupununi river. And so do
enormous caimans and capybaras – which
are pig-sized rodents.
The
main house and 4 Amerindian-style guest
huts nestle between old mango trees just
up from the golden river beach.
