Adventure tours with Trinidad's Carib Indians

In the heart of the dense jungle covering Trinidad’s North Range, the customs and traditions of the ancient indigenous people still exist. In the houses of the descendants of the Carib Indians (mountain hut style), you will stay in modest but clean rooms. You explore the wilderness under guidance of locals: Home to 100 species of mammals, 450 types of birds and 650 varieties of butterflies. Packages:

4 days

• 4 nights with full board; 

• 1 hike through the rainforest to the fabulous close to 3000 feet high summit of Morne Bleu (walking time 5 hrs); 

• 1 exploration tour on foot and by Kayak along the course and mouth region of the river Marianne; 

• 1 ethnic tour on the trail of the Carib Indians with the Shaman of the community; 

• all transfers.

•  7 nights with full board with first 4 days same as above and additional: 

• 1 full day cave expedition to the rare "devils bird" and blind fish; 

• 1 howling monkey safari on the east coast; 

• 1 hike to the Aripo highland with wildlife watching (easy), or to the summit of Cerro del Aripo (little harder); 

• all transfers.
