A well-kept beach resort on a private island in mighty Essequibo river. A large expanse of lawn surrounds the one-storey buildings, and a long, golden sandy beach is washed by the amber-colored water.  On the opposite bank of the river, you’ll find the small town of Bartica, which is a gold diggers’ centre.  They search for the precious metal and for diamonds in the wild tributary streams.

Location:lower course of the Essequibo, around 2½ hours by car & boat from Georgetown, 3 hours from the international airport, 8 boat minutes to the gold rush town of Bartica.


Hotel facilities:restaurant, bar, canoes, swimming pool, tennis, WIFI, volleyball, big garden, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, wild life, jungle walks/nature trails, river beach.  For a fee: flights to the Kaieteur Falls, trips to Marshall Falls and Parrot Island, boat trips, water ski, landing strip for private airplanes.
